Friends on the 4th 5K
| 11th Annual "Friends on the Fourth" 5k!
Start the 4th of July off with a bang and join us at Central Maine's most popular race! With most of the course set along the beautiful eastern shore of Maranacook Lake, the race attracts both old and new friends each year! Open to all runners, joggers and walkers - entries come from all across New England as well as California, Colorado, Delaware, D.C., Illinois, Iowa, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Canada and Europe. Two ways to enter: 1. Download and mail the registration form, or The 10th Annual "Friends on the Fourth" 5K was a stupendous success with 670 entries! A HUGE thank you to all of the runners and walkers, the 40+ volunteers, the business sponsors, and our fearless Race Director, Bob Moore! One and all have helped to make the "Friends on the Fourth" 5K the biggest and funnest race in central Maine! In 2012, Sam Seekins of South China, ME won the overall title with a time of 15:52, while Kristina Guerette of Fairfield, ME took the women’s title with a time of 18:28. The Major Sponsor for the 2012 race was Homestead Realty from Winthrop, along with Gold Level sponsors G&E Roofing, The China Dine-ah, Kennebec Savings Bank, Mattson's Flooring & Lighting Center, On Target , and Bronze level sponsors Lipman & Katz,The Copy Center, and American Awards.
